Energy saving performance
Our timber sash windows achieve an impressive 1.5 w/m2k overall U value and, when glazed with energy-saving thermafloat warm-edge sealed units, can achieve 1.1 w/m2k. Seals are of Q-Lon to ensure maximum draught-free surrounds and the ultra-tight lockable furniture is PAS 24-compliant. A wide choice of quality fittings are available in a range of complementary finishes.
OUR 5-STAGE PROCESS
A rigorous 5-stage process ensures that each of our products is protected and painted, and can withstand the elements with minimum maintenance.
Our method is:
Stage 1 – A chemical dip to minimise moisture absorption
Stage 2 – A chemical dip to protect against fungi, insect infestation, and mould growth
Stage 3 – Application of primer and undercoats using micro-porous products
Stage 4 – Spray finish first coat according to your colour choice
Stage 5 – Spray finish second coat
Micro-porous paints allow all timber fibres to be penetrated and to build up protection from within, unlike cellulose paints which form a skin on the outer face and require time-consuming treatments on a regular basis. To keep new products in pristine condition, we recommended a quick wipe down and a further coat be applied after approximately 7 years.

I came to the Window Sanctuary after another window company had sold and fitted windows that were completely inappropriate for replicating the original 1920's Crittall windows, although this was the brief they had. The Window Sanctuary proved to have an entirely different approach: they could not have taken more care to ensure that every detail mirrored the Crittall originals, and that the windows were exactly what I wanted. I understand that the Window Sanctuary has generations of window making and fitting behind them, and it shows. Some of the new windows had to go into the original 1920's frames, and the WS fitting team's joinery skills were outstanding in being able to rout back the wood really carefully to make sure that the new windows had a completely solid fit. This was in contrast to the previous company's fitting team, who I can only describe as butchering the frames to get their windows in, causing a waterfall inside the windows when it rained. The Window Sanctuary are a team of very skilled craftsmen: I learned first hand how rare this is. Thank you.

We used The Window Sanctuary for two jobs on our property, a complete replacement of windows on our barn and then on our main home. I think in total over 40 windows or so including internal doors and substantial bifolds. All in all we worked together for just under 2 years and it was totally seamless, from design stage all the way through to final installations. Honestly I cannot recommend Oliver, Geoff and team enough, and I love that they are a local business - the service really was too notch.

We had a few quotes for 2 x black aluminium windows and French aluminium doors with fixed side panels. The Window Sanctuary were the most competitively priced and were quick to respond to our quote request and follow up questions. From the start The Window Sanctuary were friendly and polite and a pleasure to deal with. They offered lots of advice, especially helpful as our installation was a little tricky. We also had lots of issues with our extension which caused delays our end, which The Window Sanctuary worked around, even though it meant the installation had to be carried out in two lots, when initially it was meant to happen in one go - they were very accommodating and patient, thank you! Would definitely recommend.
